FIC: Every Piece Will Find Its Place
Title: Every Piece Will Find Its Place
    Author: [info]balefully
    Pairing: Sam/Dean
    Rating: NC-17
    Word Count: 4,550
    Disclaimer: Not mine!

Summary: Dean is badly injured on a hunt and Sam turns to his old money-making standby: prostitution. Dean is not impressed.

Notes: Written for [info]nu_breed for [info]spn_j2_xmas! I am totally counting this as making the deadline. Her prompt was, "Sam/Dean, Dean discovers Sam is hooking to help pay for medical supplies when he is injured during a hunt (Sam used to hustle while at Stanford). He becomes obsessed with what Sam is doing and who he's doing it with. (First Time Wincest)" I also tried to work with these "likes" of hers: Broken Sam, dub-con, bondage, possessive Dean, D/s. I hope this fits the bill, darling! I wrote BOTTOM SAM FOR YOU. :D! I hope you realise what a monstrous feat that was for me sodigndfkh. I've never done it before! (Well, not when Sam isn't. Like. 14.) But we all know how much I love hookers, so. Happy New Year!! (ETA: Enormous late-night thanks to [info]beckaandzac for betaing this after it was already posted sodigndkflhf! LIFESAVER.)

Dean wakes up in their room at the Triple Crown Motor Inn just outside Great Falls, Montana. )

Aren't you a little short to be a stormtrooper?
More cuddly electronics, this time with a soft circuit. Using the tutorial here and an LED sewing kit from Etsy, I made an adorable plush Jawa. He reminds me of Theresa's ewok Chubbles.

I've worked on him over the last few days. I made the cloak last week from an old shirt, did the "wiring" last night, and made the felt bandoleer tonight during a Star Wars marathon.

I love being a big nerd. And now I'm knitting an R2D2 hat. Seemed to go with the Jawa well. As long as he doesn't try to sell me.

    Extermiknit! Extermiknit!
Not sure how many people on my friends list have ever watched Doctor Who, but I'm seriously excited about my latest project. For those that don't know, the Daleks are the Doctor's greatest enemy, blah blah blah. Look on Wikipedia if you care. They yell "exterminate!" and kill people. Plus their "eyes" light up. That's about all you need to know.

I decided to knit one for Brian for Christmas, but being the Super-nerd that I am, I decided that mine should have sounds and light up. I didn't realize this meant hours of soldering, desoldering, and yelling at the cats when one of them ran off with my circuit board. But, after all that, he's finally done.

Not terribly exciting on his own, especially if you don't watch the show. But the video is more effective at displaying his awesome:

The flashing with sound effect is from a kit I bought, but I put it together, added wires for the LEDs and added a switch. Freshman Tech served me well, as well as a refresh course from my dad. He finally works and I'm so excited. I can't wait to give him to Brian on Friday.

    Ack!
I just realised that I have not posted in TWO WEEKS. That is ridiculous.

So yes, I am here! And I am working on Christmas cards, which will possibly be a little late because I am a dork like that.

I finished my last official day of HealthCorps last week, and may never see my kids again. Weep! My bosses are writing grants like crazy trying to raise enough money to keep me, but I am not entirely optimistic about it and also I kind of don't want to commute four hours a day anymore. It is wearing me out so badly! :( I was supposed to go in on Monday (tomorrow) to tie up some loose ends and get fucking wasted with my bosses, but I am currently trapped in my house under TWO FEET (!!!) of snow. I have no idea how I will even open the front door, much less actually get to work when it's time.

[info]spn_j2_xmas IS DUE SO SOON! HOLY SHIT. D: I am officially panicking. I have, uh. Some of it done? :/ But I have next to no idea where I'm going with it because I ditched my grand scheme at the last minute when I realised it was stupid and contrived. I am REALLY not feeling good about my writing at the moment. I feel like all I am good for is gross PWPs, these days. PLOT IS TOO MUCH FOR MY POOR TIRED, TAXED LITTLE BRAIN! SHE CANNAE TAKE IT, CAPTAIN!

Which reminds me! [info]beckaandzac and some friends did something really sweet and amazing for me. Becka is a better person than I deserve, and I just want to thank everyone who contributed: you know who you are. <333! I cried a lot and go back and look at it sometimes to convince myself YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH, YOU'RE SMART ENOUGH, AND GOSH DARN IT, PEOPLE LIKE YOU! It is hard not to feel unworthy! MWAH. THANK YOU AGAIN. ILU.

So today I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off because I need to apply to jobs so I can feed myself in January, do eight thousand loads of laundry, clean, send Christmas cards (well, get them ready to send tomorrow), send the one last Christmas present I need to wrap, finish the last bit of med school stuff, look for someplace to move to come February when my lease is up, and WRITE FIC. How on PLANET EARTH am I going to get all this done. :( Someone please tell me I can clone myself. I will clone three of me instead of just two of me so one of me can sleep all day and catch up on Dexter.

I was SUPPOSED to also have to drive to Baltimore today to pick up MY NEW RATTIES (!!!) but I guess that is out now, because of the whole aforementioned two feet of snow. If there is anyone in the DC Metro area who doesn't have a sports car buried under two feet of snow who wants to take a little roadtrip with me today, let me know. T_T

SO YEAH. Despite all the stress and the trillion things I have to do, I am excited about Christmas!! Partially this is because of presents, both giving and receiving. DAMN I LOVE PRESENTS. What are you all expecting/wishing for this year? Or what are you excited to be giving? TELL ME ABOUT PRESENTS!

    Sitting in the LAX airport.

In about two hours, I get on a plane to Sydney.

    From there, Melbourne.

    From there, Darwin.

    From there, Katherine.

    And after that, Perth.

I'm doing a little dance as I sit on the floor.
